Scratch

                          Scratch
Hi, this year we have been working on coding projects on a website called Scratch. This goes towards your technology badge which I will tell you about later. I have done 7 & a half projects. I will tell you what they are one by one and it will have the project with it.

Here is the first 1 I did it is called Rock Band.
What to do:
- Click the green flag to make the guitar play.
- Then just click all the other instruments and the singer and they will play their sound.
- It's really cool have a try.

Here is the second one it's called Lost in Space.
All you have to do for this one is click the green flag and if you want to see it click it again, click the green flag and continue till you are done.

Here is the third one it's called Ghostbusters
What you will need to do is click the green arrow then you have 10 seconds to click as many of the things as you can. It's actually really fun. See how high you can score.

Here is the 4th one it's called Chat Bot.
What you will need to do is click the flag.
After that you then need to click the Alien and just type in your answers. They are mainly yes or no answers.
Then press enter or click the tick.

The 5th project is called Paint Box.
First click the flag now there is not anything you have to do in order for this but I will tell you what you can do and how to do it.
Changing colour - choose what colour you want (red, blue, green, black and yellow only) then all you have to do is click the box with the colour you want.
If you look closely you can see a box saying width with a little box in it and a scale thing. To make your pencil width bigger or smaller drag it along to get the perfect size for you.
To delete everything press the X in the red circle
On the right side of the delete button there is a rubber all you have to do is click it and same as the pencil to make it bigger drag the scale.
Here it is - see what picture you can draw.

Here is the 6th one I named it Boat Race.
Here's what you'll need to do:
Click the green flag
Once you've clicked the green flag the boat will start moving towards your cursor.
On the top left there is a timer.
You need to get to the yellow island with out touching the wood (Brown lines).
Once you get there the backdrop will change which means you are on level 2.
On level 2 there will be green things try staying away as they will slow you down.
Once you finish that level it's the end of it.
It will change backdrops again but it should keep it a surprise.

Now once I have completed my 6th project which is the one above. I get to make my own and once I've done that I get my technology badge which I have along with my bronze badge. My one is called pick the right life path. What you have to do is try and make it until the end. It's kinda like chat bot but anyway here it is.
All you have do is click the green flag then the girl then reply.

Here is my 7th one it is called Memory.
Can you bet my high score of 15?
What you will need to do is click the green flag and the background will flash then the ballerina will change into a different pose and if you see the different dresses each have a drum. Watch what colours the ballet dancers's dress is wearing and click the right drum. On top right corner you have your score then my high score. If you pass my high score it will ask you your name.

I hope that you have enjoyed playing my scratch games. If you would like to have a try coding your own game go to https://scratch.mit.edu/  ( Copy and paste in your search bar ).

Makey Makey

                       Makey Makey

This term we did a thing called Makey Makey. What you have to do is connect the cords into the Makey Makey then you have to find things to connect the cords too and then when you tap the object it plays the Makey Makey piano. After you have done that one you disconnect the objects and draw on a piece of paper with a pencil up arrow, right arrow, down arrow, left arrow and space. Then you connect the right arrow to the right arrow the left to the left and so on. The way you know what is the right one they have arrows on the Makey Makey pointing the way it goes and the space is a circle that says space. Once you have connected them you go onto Makey Makey Pacman. After that you don't have to connect anything again you just leave it and you get to go onto Makey Makey Super Mario. Toby and I only got up to Super Mario. Also we had to do it with our talking buddies. Here are some photos.

Here is me setting it up (At this time Toby was needed)

Here is me and Toby playing the pac man.

Here is me playing the piano

Have you ever done a Makey Makey before? If you have haven't, it is amazing and fun.

Production

                                    Production

This term we have been practising our dance for our production. Our theme is Egypt. We had to make our outfits, here is a picture of me in my outfit. My favourite part was definitely making the outfit, I don't know exactly why but I just loved making it. We had 3 night performances and 1 day show. The first show we did was the day show it was on Tuesday the 11th of September, we also had a night show. The shows went on for 3 nights the 11th, 12th & the 13th then we had 1 on the 14th but it was just for the school. It was funny because at the end of it the curtain fell down. Also the main theme for it all is around the world. There were 2 aliens kids and an alien mum. The kids get bored of Mars so they wanted to run away and explore and they did so but their mum was not happy about it all so she called Dr. Who and his assistant to help. They go all over the world and so it's called "The Journey". Each class got a theme and as you know ours is Egypt and they have to make a dance or like a little skit about it pretty much and when I saw it on Friday it was amazing. I knew everyone had put their all into it, especially the teachers.

                                                        Do you like my outfit?
What I had to do was: Find a black dress, paint the plate, fit the belt & hand bracelet things.
I was a pharaoh.

Here are some photos of us in action

Here is some photos of our roles/outfits.

                                                     Here is the class photo.

Here are the mummies wrapped up in their bandages.

This the king and his cats.

My favourite part is around the end when we all have to pose at different times. My least favourite part is the start when I have to sit on my knees as it hurts my feet. But my absolute least favourite part is the end when it's over because I just wanted to keep doing it :(

But anyway I have some questions of you.
If you went what night did you go?
If you saw it what was your favourite part?
What caught your attention?
